Holidays

Today is the last day of the autumn holidays.

I trained a lot these days and tomorrow is the first day of school.

I’ll have 2 extra days off from school, because i don’t have any SE’s those days.

And tomorrow is also my restday from tennis.

It's getting cold

Today I had a tough training in 10 degrees centigrade.

It was not what I’m used to, so it was tough adjusting to the climate.

But it was a great training, I learned a few things today so I’m happy.

Training

Today I went training indoors, because it was raining to hard.

It was a good training as we did some speed exercises.

I’m beginning to reach a high level in speed so I’m happy.

Tomorrow is another hard training.

Barcelona

Las week I was in Barcelona on a school trip.

It was a lot of fun as I got to get to know my classmates.

We traveled there by bus, which was 20 hours from Den Haag.

We saw all the popular attractions like Camp Nou and La Sagrada Familia.

Ofcourse we ate Tapas all day and paella.

Staying in Holland

I am now staying in Holland for the next two years.

I’m very excited that I’m going to go to school here and train at Leeuwenbergh in Leidschendam.

I hope that everything will go well. :D

Holland

Two days ago I arrived in Holland, it’s was cold for me since I’m used to the warm weather in Curacao.

I’m here to train and to play tournaments.

It’s gonna be a whole other experience here for me, I’m going to play a lot of tennis for the next few weeks.

And after the whole training I’m going to Jitic.

I had a lot of time to train and relax the last few days, thanks to the Easter Holidays.

Tomorrow is The Queens Birthday and I’ll be in Punda to help my parents in the shop.

Got a lot to do for school and a lot to arrange for Holland.

I better get started :D

Double up tournament

Today was the start of the Double up tournament.

As it says in the name it is a doubles tournament, my partner will be George Samander who is going to be my doubles partner in El Salvador.

This tournament is a perfect way to practise our doulbes game before the Daviscup.

We’re going to take full use of this opportunity.

And we’ll say how far we’ll come.

Bon ana tournament

I will be playing the bon ana tournament this year.

Last year I came to the semi-finals with Jared Getrouw.

This year I’m playing with Michiel Noordhoek.

And I will also be playing the singles version of the doubles tournament.

So I’m very excited to play this tournament.

Rainy days

My coach from Sto Domingo left last Thursday to go back to Sto Domingo.

It was a good training, now I have to make a new program for myself.

There aren’t a lot of tests these days, because the testweek is nearing, so I have to start studying for that.

I discovered a new hobby!

Writing sonnets, it started in Dutch class when we had to make a sonnet in Dutch, I didn’t really want to write it, so I wrote a sonnet about writing the sonnet, and it came out good, so I edited it a bit , so it had the official sonnet rules.

And now I have a total of 4 sonnets.

Busy days

These days are very busy for me, because I have training from 2 till 6.

And in the evening I do my homework and school stuff.

But I like it this way.

The training is good and I’m still getting good grades.

Today I had to work on a project at school.

It is for a subject called ASW.

I have to make a picture of all sorts of other pictures that represent who I am.

I’m also going to train today.

In the Tommy Hilfiger tournament we withdrawed, because Kevin had to go on businesstravels and we were gonna play the matches before that, but he caught a high fever.

But we did win all our matches that we played.

Rainy Days

Today was a very rainy day.

It was like Curacao was flooded by a tsunami.

All the streets are underwater and I didn’t have school today.

And we just heard that we’re free tomorrow too.

Tennis coach

Today my new coach from Sto Domingo has arrived in Curacao.

He’s going to train with me and another boy for one month.

After that we will see what happens.

The training starts tomorrow.

At school nothing special happened, only it rained a lot today.

Slice Serve

Today I had training.

And in the training I only hit flat en topspin serves, at the end I could do any serve I wanted.

And then I knifed this perfect SLICE serve (which isn’t flat or topspin) wide on the duece court.

I didn’t train this serve the whole day, and my trainer was very surprised about the quality of the serve and asked me how I did that without hitting that serve the whole day.

But I know this is my most natural serve.

And I also had school today but nothing special.

Weekend

This weekend I didn’t do much till this point.

Maybe I’m going to train this evening, but I’m not sure yet.

Tomorrow is another Monday, which is very boring, but you have to make it fun.

Next week is the next ranking tournament.

It would be held this week but the head of the federation couldn’t orangize it, because he had the virus dengue.

Training

Today was another normal day with school en tennis.

I played with George Samander today at CSC.

At school I got an 7.8 voor M&O and an 8 for Geography and an 7.7 voor Mathematics B.

So I have an 8 for all those subjects.

Yesterday I had a very hard fitness training, so today I took it a little bit more easier.

Curacao Juniors Open

Unfortunately I lost my in the Curacao Juniors Open to the fifth seed Italian Player Gianluigi QUINZI.

I think he’s going to win the tournament, he beat the first seed today.

But today I had a talk with one of the proffesional coaches and if everything goes according to plan I will train with George Samander in November with this coach.

This will take some time, because the coach is going back to Sto Domingo and after that to Chile.

But I’m confident that things will turn out well.

Rainy Day

Today was a very rainy day, so I couldn’t play tennis.

I studied and did some power exercises instead.

Monday I have Mathematics and Spanish.

For Spanish I don’t have to study anything, because we will get a tekst.

But for Mathematics I have to study some chapters.

And ofcourse I have to start studying for the other exams later on.
